Four Great Free (or Almost Free) Tools For Your Business Computer

Software that allows you to get more out of your business computer doesn't have to cost an arm and a leg. Our clients are always asking us to recommend affordable software that will make the time they spend working on their computers less frustrating and more productive.

Plaxo

Plaxo (I have no idea what the name means) is a great free tool that allows you to access your Microsoft Outlook contacts, calendar and to-do lists from anywhere where you can connect to the Internet.

In addition, the contact information for all users in the ”Plaxo community” automatically stays up-to-date. With over 5 millions users and growing, this feature becomes more and more useful everyday.

Microsoft Outlook Business Contact Manager

Business Contact Manager is a free add-on to Microsoft Outlook 2003 that transforms Outlook into an effective small business customer relationship management (CRM) tool.

Among its powerful features, Business Contact Manager allows you to effectively manage customer information (including multiple contacts per customer), track sales opportunities, and log phone calls. You can also associate your Outlook email, tasks and appointments with customer accounts.

Win2PDF is inexpensive software that allows you easily print, save or email any document in PDF format from virtually any software application.

I run Ad-Aware at least once a month in order to protect my privacy and maintain the performance of my PC.
